The situation with the COVID-19 pandemic forced many plans to be replayed. However, the Urals participants of the School Energy Project (SPARE) managed to carry out a number of environmental events in the open air.

“The lifestyle of the indigenous peoples of the North is a ready-made 'life hack' for reducing the ecological footprint. - Participants of the SPARE program eco-activists of the «Green Watch» Movement took part in the Old-Filin ethnographic festival (Severouralsk, Sverdlovsk region) and got acquainted with the traditions of the northern Mansi people and their climate-friendly and energy-efficient way of life.

Он проходил в онлайн-формате с 11 по 13 сентября на собственной интернет-площадке – эконлайн.инфо.сайт. Форум проводился Региональным молодежным общественным экологическим движением Ханты-Мансийского автономного округа – Югры «Третья планета от Солнца» при поддержке Гранта Губернатора и Природнадзора Югры, в рамках Молодежного экологического проекта «Мое Обь-Иртышье» и Водной программы Российского социально-экологического союза.

Команда МКОУ "СОШ №10" с. Новопокровка под руководством учителя биологии экосоветника Савицкой В. А. впервые приняла участие в открытом краевом конкурсе «Энергия и среда обитания» в номинации "Климатический план". В статье - рассказ учительницы об опыте разработки климплана и участия в конкурсе.

The annual school SPARE-Festival was held on the basis of the Ecocenter of the village "Yuryevskoye" on August 19-23. Due to the requirements for social distance, only 30 people participated in the 2020 Festival.  All lived in separate rooms of the Energy Efficient House, built according to the drawings of the SPARE program by the Skiba farm family in 2017.

In the summer of 2020, more than 25 schools and colleges in the Bryansk region took an active part in the new Climate Program "From theory to practice."

In June, the regional coordinators of the SPARE Program organized and conducted two training thematic webinars for teachers of geography, biology, physics and technology. During the discussions, it was decided to make the creation of a school climate plan a priority in the development of environmental education and upbringing. 

On July 10 and 17, Kaliningrad Regional Public Children's Ecological Movement "Green Planet" together with the Center for Ecology, Local History and Tourism held two clean-up campaigns at the Baltic coast of Kaliningrad Region under the slogan "For a Clean Baltic." 

 In the months of April, May and June 2020, the SPARE program for teachers and schoolchildren of the Moscow region was held in a remote format. The program included regional coordinators, active teachers, and schoolchildren of more than 25 schools. They conducted a remote brainstorming session, two webinars, and adjusted the plans of action for Moscow schoolchildren in the new conditions.

Six schools in the Pervomaisky District of the Yaroslavl Region are active participants in the events of the SPARE Program. The schools recently participated in the following programs, Energy Saving Day, the creation of School Climate Plans, competitions of school projects "Energy and Habitat", school summer camps with classes on climate and energy conservation, also, included was the program that centered on cooperation with local farmers and administrations which has  helped many families and entire settlements in our region to adopt "green" practices .

Since 2010, within the framework of environmental education, "Gymnasium No. 1 of the Bryansk District," has been actively developing the SPARE program. In 2019 the ecological center "Agroecology» based at the “Gymnasium No. 1 of the Bryansk District” started working. One of the directions of the center's work is the creation of a school climate plan, training students in waste management, and saving of water resources.
